ORDER OF TERM SUSPENSION
This matter came before the court, Dewar, J., on an information and record of proceedings pursuant to S.J.C. Rule 4:01, § 8(6), with the recommendation and vote of the Board of Bar Overseers (Board) filed by the Board on August 12, 2025. Brian R. Corey is currently administratively suspended in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts pursuant to an order of administrative suspension entered on May 1, 2024 (Budd, C.J.). On August 14, 2025, an order of notice issued and was served on the lawyer in the manner specified in S.J.C. Rule 4:01, § 21, directing the Office of Bar Counsel to provide notice to the respondent to appear at a hearing before this court on September 16, 2025, so that he "may then show cause" why the relief sought in the information should not be granted. After the hearing took place as scheduled, attended by assistant bar counsel, and the respondent failing to appear, it is ORDERED that: Brian R. Corey is hereby suspended from the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for a period of one (1)
year and one (1) day, with an effective date commencing upon the lawyer's compliance with the May 1, 2024 order of administrative suspension, including all provisions as set forth in S.J.C. Rule 4:01, § 17.
