IN RE: PATRICK J. DOLAN BBO # 564250 NO. BD-2024-104 Judgment of Disbarment and Acceptance of Corrected Affidavit of Resignation.

1

The respondent’s Corrected Affidavit of Resignation was accepted and he was disbarred, effective immediately, for intentional misuse of trust funds causing deprivation.

SUMMARY 2 The respondent submitted an Affidavit of Resignation in which he agreed that bar counsel could prove the allegations of the petition for discipline pending against him, among them intentional misuse of trust funds causing deprivation. The respondent used trust funds he was supposed to be holding in escrow to pay personal and business expenses; misrepresented the status of the funds to the Superior Court and counsel; and fabricated false financial documents to conceal his actions. The respondent’s Affidavit complied with S.J.C. Rule 4:01, § 15. Bar counsel recommended that the Board accept the Affidavit of Resignation and disbar the respondent.

By vote dated July 14, 2025, the Board recommended to the S.J.C. that the respondent’s Affidavit of Resignation be accepted, and that an order of disbarment enter.

The Affidavit of Resignation, along with the Board’s recommendation, was submitted to the SJC on July 21, 2025. A Corrected Affidavit of resignation was submitted the same day. On September 4, 2025, the Single Justice (Dewar, J.) adopted the Board’s recommendation, accepted the Corrected Affidavit of Resignation, and disbarred the respondent, effective immediately.
